The Art of the Pour Over

Transform Your Morning Cup

This virtual on-demand class is for anyone interested in making consistently good coffee using the pour over method. Whether you’re completely new to pour over or a longtime practitioner who is sometimes frustrated by the results, the course will give you a deeper understanding of how to brew better-tasting coffee. We’ll cover our barista method, developed over years of experimentation and research, and then go deeper into aspects of brew theory and how to dial in your grind size. These are the very skills we teach baristas, who learn how to troubleshoot the entire process so that they can brew great coffee, time and again. Purchase class for $10 or activate your Gift Card Code at Checkout. Total running time is 50 minutes. Captions available for ASL viewers. Subtitles available in Spanish.

Javier Acevedo

Trainer, Blue Bottle Coffee

Javier Acevedo has been with Blue Bottle Coffee since 2015, working his way from Barista to Cafe Leader to Trainer. His two passions are hospitality and teaching coffee so there isn’t a place he would rather be than at Blue Bottle. Nothing makes him happier than a berry pound cake and a Three Africas pour over. When he’s not talking coffee, he spends his time saving stray kittens and playing chess.
